Melange at The Hubb in sherwood is an irregular night where I get to experiment and play the sort of stuff you don’t usually get in a nightclub environment – with no dancefloor to keep busy, the only rule of the night is not to play something so spiky and unlistenable that it scares off the punters!

Expect the likes of Death in Vegas, Rae and Christian, The Sugarcubes, Wynder K Frog, Brand Nubian, Boz Scaggs and the works of Dan the Automator. But don’t be surprised if you don’t hear any of them too, the setlist is ever changing, or I might have decided to do a northern soul special. Thats the beauty of Melange – you never know quite exactly what you are going to get. Theres an example setlist here

Entry is free, buses from trinity square are every 10 minutes or so (brown line buses, get off directly opposite the pub on hucknall road, late buses are also available),  the music starts at around 8pm, and finishes somewhere around 1am. there’s two massive outside areas if you want to smoke, and if what is playing isn’t to your liking, there’s pool, darts and other stuff in the other room.
